Allows accessories to be used on the rail and adjoining mloc that would otherwise not clear the OEM handle. See product photos for examples of laser aiming modules, front sights, and weapon lights whose addition is now made enthusiastically possible!
Check your charger: if yours is retained with a set screw, you will want the FM-15 style charger, found here.
